Pricing

Senior EHS leadership, priced to the operation — not the hour.

Flat monthly retainers. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. Travel is passed through at cost, so you control the onsite cadence and therefore the spend. Below is exactly how we price and how we decide where you land.

The Ladder

Each tier includes everything in the tiers below it. You can start where you are and move up as the operation grows — or move down once the system runs itself.

Lowest barrier

The EHS Desk

$499/mo

For teams doing the work themselves who need senior answers, templates, and a second set of eyes.

Get Started

  • Async Q&A — OSHA, EPA, recordability, and program questions answered in writing, one business day
  • One document review each month — a written program, JHA, training record, or contractor packet, returned with markup
  • Template library — written programs, inspection forms, JHA/JSA, permits, training matrix, compliance calendar; yours to brand
  • Monthly live office hours — 60-minute group session with Corey, recorded
  • Regulatory alerts — what changed and whether it touches your operation
  • Citation triage — what it means, what is negotiable, and your deadlines
  • Onboarding self-assessment — where you actually stand, at signup

You run the program; we make sure you are running it right. Business hours, written support. Does not include onsite work, us executing tasks, inspection or citation response, IH sampling, PE-stamped design, or legal counsel. $4,990/year saves two months. Your first 90 days credit toward any retainer tier.

Fractional Specialist

$3,900/mo

Single site, up to roughly 75 employees. Approx. 8–12 hours a month.

  • Compliance calendar built for your site, with owners and dates
  • Core written-program starter kit built for your operation
  • OSHA 300/300A recordkeeping oversight and recordability calls
  • Quarterly remote mini-audit with a prioritized Top-10 gap list
  • Monthly private office hours plus on-call guidance by email or Slack

The line between here and the Desk: at the Desk you do the work. From Specialist up, we do.

Fractional Manager

$5,400–7,200/mo

One to three sites. Approx. 16–28 hours a month.

  • Everything in Specialist, across up to three locations
  • Programs embedded into the facility — training delivered, inspections run, findings worked
  • Incident investigation and corrective-action ownership
  • Onsite cadence by agreement

Automatic minimum tier for any PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) or RMP (40 CFR 68) covered process, regardless of headcount.

Signature engagement

Fractional Director

$8,100–12,000/mo

Three or more sites, roughly 150–500 employees. Approx. 32–50 hours a month.

See the engagement

  • EHS strategy and roadmap tied to your risk profile and capital plan
  • Environmental compliance owned alongside safety — air permits, RCRA, SPCC, stormwater, Tier II
  • Executive and board reporting in P&L language — EMR trajectory, Total Cost of Risk
  • M&A due diligence and 90-day integration of acquired sites
  • Onsite cadence included by rule

Fractional VP / Enterprise

  • CAPEX planning and risk-management function development
  • Portfolio audit program and platform standardization
  • Custom cadence, scoped per entity

How We Decide Where You Land

Placement is set by the highest applicable of four factors — not by headcount alone. A small site with a covered process outranks a large, simple one.

Size

Employee count and total square footage across the locations we cover.

Complexity

Processes, chemical inventory, equipment, and the number of regulatory programs in play.

Units under management

How many sites, and how far apart operationally and geographically.

Risk

Injury and claims history, EMR, citation history, and hazard class. PSM- or RMP-covered processes set a Manager-tier floor automatically.

Build, Run, or Both. Where you sit inside a tier’s range depends on scope: building a program from scratch, running one that exists, or both at once. We tell you which you are buying before you sign.

Add-Ons & Pass-Throughs

Add-on Rate
Additional site Quoted at reassessment by size, complexity, and risk — never a flat fee
Expedited services / surge capacity — extra manpower or accelerated timelines for program buildouts, audit prep, integration sprints $500 per 2-hour block; larger efforts quoted fixed-fee
Additional onsite day — beyond the cadence included in your tier $500 / day / person + travel at cost
Emergency Response & Priority Access — after-hours and weekend availability, rapid incident investigation, OSHA inspection and abatement response, spill support +$1,500 / month
Standard support is business hours. After-hours, weekend, and emergency availability comes with the Emergency Response add-on. Pass-through costs — travel, software licenses, lab and testing fees, permit and filing fees, third-party auditors — are billed at actual cost with no markup.

Terms, Plainly

Six-month initial term

Then month-to-month with 30 days’ notice. Long enough to build the system and prove it works.

Invoiced monthly in advance

Net 15. The retainer is fixed for the initial term.

Travel at cost

Itemized, no markup, cadence agreed in advance. You control the spend.

Performance incentive available

Once baselines exist, we will propose a results-based incentive tied to EMR, claims, or Total Cost of Risk. We win when your cost of risk falls.

Common Questions

Why flat monthly instead of hourly?
Hourly billing punishes you for asking questions. A retainer means your team calls us when something matters, and we plan the work instead of metering it.
What if we outgrow a tier — or shrink?
Tier movement follows a reassessment of size, complexity, sites, and risk, with the fee adjusting on the effective date of the change. It moves both directions.
Is the Desk just a cheaper version of the same thing?
No. The Desk gives you access, templates, and answers while your team does the work. From Specialist up, we own and execute the program. Different product, not a discount.
Do you replace our in-house EHS person?
Usually not. Most often we lead the function while your in-house staff execute at the sites, which is what gives them a senior person to escalate to.
What does a full-time hire actually cost by comparison?
Salary is roughly two-thirds of it once recruiting, benefits, ramp-up, and turnover are counted. Our estimator lets you model it with your own numbers.
What is not included at any tier?
Full-time onsite staffing, legal counsel or expert-witness work, industrial-hygiene sampling and lab analysis, PE-stamped design, and occupational medical services. We coordinate qualified third parties where those are needed.

Not sure where you land?

A short conversation and a light gap assessment will tell you your tier and your top risks — whether or not we work together.
